Challenge

High Investment spend and converging initiatives coupled with a change in external market factors required a cost and portfolio prioritisation.

Approach

Our team worked across each program to ensure that value drivers were clearly defined and we implemented a prioritisation mechanism across all of the functions to ensure that programs with the biggest value (cost, risk, compliance etc) were prioritised. We also initiated a vendor review to ensure core competencies were leveraged and assessed against external benchmarks and implemented a new resource model for delivery.

Impact

  • Achieved a 30% reduction in Capex and Revex costs whilst ensuring that 80% of the proposed value would still be delivered.
